The Proweight Commercial Wheelie Bin Weigher has recently been designed and built for a customer wanting a 2 tonne capacity scale that could be used both as an industrial platform scale AND as a forktruck weigher. The customer had limited floor space and wanted to use an industrial weigher inside and outside the factory to weigh heavy goods and materials and also wanted to weigh an 1100 litre wheeled commercial waste bin to make sure that he was being charged correctly for his commercial waste. OUR SOLUTION was to build a dual purpose weigher – 2 tonne capacity weighing in 1kg graduations – that could sit on the floor to weigh as a conventional platform scale OR the scale could be picked up by a forktruck and slotted under the wheelie bin to weigh both the bin and all its contents. With mains power/internal rechargeable battery, this particular design features an LCD indicator/stand which can be positioned to suit the operator. With prices starting from £850 + vat, depending on your individual specification, the price compares very favourably with conventional platform scales, weighbeams, pallet weighers and dedicated forktruck weighers – all of which have their limitations.
